It now is one of my favorite subjects to teach! I have four options for the writing practice to help differentiate the levels of my students. There is no exact science to making a smoothie. If you have little ones who are anxious about noise, simply hold the confetti and throw it in the air! However, you could always have your students dictate their sentence to you and just have them draw their picture.
My students use the cards to complete the writing pages. Here are some samples from my Fall Words file. I love having my students write the books themselves, and usually "translate" under their words. However, help your preschoolers ring in their own as well!
Seeing as you are counting backwards to ring in the year today, use that skill here as well. At this station, I do encourage correct spelling of both sight words and vocabulary words.
